Things To Do In Brum For Halloween

0

The nights are slowly drawing in, and everybody is already beginning to think about Christmas. But, before the trees go up in people’s houses, we first have the spooky event of the year on the 31st, and we aren’t talking about Brexit! Halloween is the one time of the year when family’s come together and celebrate all things spooky, but what can people around Birmingham expect to get up to this year?

Halloween Spooktacular- Cadbury World

From the week commencing the 21st October, visitors to Cadbury World could expect a scarier week than most. Dermot O’Scary hosts this year’s Scream Factor, which will see Frankie Frankenstein, Witchy Woo, and Wolfy the Wolfman compete for a mystery prize. It is the perfect place for a family to spend the day enjoying the festivities, and while here, they will have the opportunity to scream, dance, and have a sing-song.

The kids will also have a brilliant day as there will be fancy dress competitions throughout the week, with judges handing out prizes to those that stand out from the crowd. Family’s should also keep an eye out for spooky characters that will be let loose around Cadbury World.

Monster Party- Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

More Halloween fun can be had at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, where there will be a Monster Party taking place in the Waterhall Gallery. Visitors can expect music and dancing, as well as plenty of Halloween-inspired games. The fun will take place every day from the 25th, with visitors having the opportunity to handle spooky objects and have access to a unique portrait studio.

Ghost Tour- New Alexandra Theatre

On the 27th October, there will be a unique opportunity for visitors at the New Alexandra Theatre to possibly meet the five ghosts that haunt the beloved theatre in the second city. The ghost tour will provide the perfect chance to make acquaintance with them, with visitors also having the opportunity to take part in the lock-in event to see the establishment in the depths of the night. This isn’t one for the kids, and don’t forget to pack your torch.

Spooky Science- Thinktank

If you’re looking for some half-term fun, then the Thinktank museum is the place to be on the 28th October. The establishment will open its doors after hours to see a host of eerie and frightening science experiments, and that isn’t even mentioning the chance to hold creepy crawlers. You can get dressed up for the occasion, too, with the best dressed being rewarded with prizes throughout the evening.

Blackdot Presents: Enzo Siragusa with Archie Hamilton- Blackbox

If you’re looking to go out into the city for Halloween fun on the 28th October, then the only place to be is the Blackbox. Enzo Siragusa and Archie Hamilton have firmly positioned themselves as two of the best underground house and techno DJs, with both of them bringing something different to the table. If this night is anything like their last appearance in Birmingham, then it will be a fantastic musical journey for everybody in attendance.
