Unai Emery has done a fine job at Aston Villa since replacing Steven Gerrard. However, the Villa still appear short in the final third of the pitch, especially if they have the goal of challenging for a place in Europe next season. The departure of Danny Ings for West Ham in January has left a clear void, and while Ollie Watkins may be a suitable replacement until the end of the campaign, it remains a position that the Midlands club need to address in the summer.
Adding a talented striker to the ranks would certainly see Villa emerge as a leading contender for a top-half finish with darmowe gry hazardowe, but which strikers could be targeted in the summer?
Moussa Dembele
It would appear as though Moussa Dembele has been linked with a move to the Premier League in every transfer window since his switch to France in 2018. Dembele is already no stranger to English football, as he played for Fulham for three years between 2013 and 2016. However, his reputation reached new heights during a two-year spell with Celtic, where he scored 26 goals in 55 league games.
Since swapping Scotland for France, Dembele has become one of the most in-form strikers in Ligue 1, as he has scored 70 goals in 164 games across all competitions. It would appear that Lyon would be more than happy to cash in on the striker this summer, as they will look to raise funds as a European finish looks incredibly unlikely.
Duvan Zapata
A player that slightly goes against Villa’s transfer approach, but would make a lot of sense is 31-year-old Duvan Zapata. The striker was linked with a move to West Ham United, before the Hammers managed to get a deal for Ings over the line. Villa could take full advantage of that breakdown in the summer by making their move for the Colombian international.
The striker has been prolific throughout his career in Italy, and has already enjoyed spells with Napoli and Sampdoria. He has been with Atalanta since joining on an initial loan in 2018, and he has been a renowned scorer for the Italian giants in recent seasons. Overall, he has scored 80 goals in 179 games for the club. However, his opportunities have diminished slightly this term, meaning that Atalanta could be willing to cash in.
Bryan Mbeumo
A player that could fit the bill for the Villa in the summer may be Bryan Mbeumo. The Brentford man could immediately slide into the team, as he boasts the traits that Emery will be looking in his forward. The 23-year-old is already proven in the Premier League after impressing with Brentford since their promotion to the top-flight.
His pace has troubled every opposing defence that he has played against since the Bees promotion, and he looks set to be on course for his most productive season in the Premier League this term, having already netted five goals and registered three assists in 23 matches.
