Visitors heading to Coppadocia should make room for a three-course meal, with an excellent selection of starters the perfect way to get started. Hot starters such as Sigara Boregi and King Prawns are both delightful, while Cacik and Tarama are among the cold starters. When it comes to a main, you shouldn’t venture far beyond the kebabs. Our personal favourite is the Adana, which is minced lamb with herbs.

One of the best new additions to the Birmingham scene is the Etci Mehmet Steakhouse, located in Star City. Walk-ins are available for the leading restaurant, but it is always encouraged to book in advance if you are heading there in a bigger group. Visitors can expect a dining service unlike anything else in the city, with dedicated service to your table.
The restaurant does an excellent job of tailoring to all needs of customers, with halal meat served, and gluten-free options also available. The lamb and steak options are among the best that you can experience here, with the Tomahawk 600 GR the most appealing option. Those looking to celebrate an occasion shouldn’t look past the Gold New York Steak, which is £100 and covered in 24-carat gold.

Mount Nemrut Turkish Restaurant
Located in Smethwick, customers can find one of the most appealing Turkish restaurants in the city in the form of Mount Nemrut. Here, there are dedicated specials throughout the week that customers can make the most of, with the Family Special being perfect for an evening out with your nearest and dearest. Further specials are available in the forms of the Nemrut.
The Nemrut Special is the most appealing for customers in our opinion, and costs £41.95. Including in the special are lamb shish, chicken shish, chicken beyti and shepherd’s salad. It is one of the most affordable Turkish restaurants available in the city, with a range of options available.

Antep Turkish Cuisine
Customers looking for an authentic Turkish taste experience shouldn’t look past Antep Turkish Cuisine in Balsall Heath. This restaurant has a slick interior, and an extensive menu available. Antep offers a broad range of cold and hot starters, which includes hummus with lamb shawarma. Sucuk sausage is also a must-try from the starter menu, as the spicy Turkish dish will give you an immediate taste of what you can expect on the main dishes.
There is an excellent selection of charcoal grill selections at Antep, with Tavuk Kulbasti Beyti, Kuzu Shish and Kuzu Beyti Sarma being among the most popular selections. There is also a wide range of kebab options, as well as wraps and fish dishes. The Tavuk Sote casserole is also a must-try. The wide range of options will ensure that visitors will need to make a second trip.

The Sultan Lounge is located on Islington Row, and is open daily until 2 am. The family-run restaurant has been appeasing tastes in the second city for years, as it takes visitors around the middle east with a range of unique flavours. Among the most impressive dishes available on the menu include the Laham Shawarma, Samak Ysalimoen and Shami Chops. However, there is much more to this restaurant than the amazing food. Visitors can enjoy a long night out at the Sultan Lounge, with a selection of impressive shisha options available.
However, in order to test the amazing tastes that are available, customers must become a member. Applications are straightforward to fill out, and can be found on the restaurant’s website. Visitors can also enjoy playing games at the restaurant, which means that it is unlike anything else that you can find in the city. The experience is second to none, and visitors will be counting down the days until they can re-visit the Sultan Lounge.
