It does not make the US poor
There are few too many people that believe the ACA is making the US poor. This is also not the case, because the state is not losing money this way. The math is pretty simple, more healthy people means more people able to work. More people that are not paying off medical bills means more people spending on something else.
It is a win-win situation for ordinary people and the state even if you bring the cost of human life into arithmetics. The problem is that way too many things are measured with dollar bills instead of their true worth. The ACA is there to make the American dream true instead of putting the American dream on a receipt.
