- Research from WeLoveBrum.co.uk has found the UK locations which have the biggest proportion of cheaters
- Birmingham ranks as one of the more loyal cities, while Manchester is crowned the top cheating spot
- The survey also finds that people are more likely to share underwear than a toothbrush with a partner
Birmingham is one of the UK’s most loyal cities when it comes to relationships, new research has shown.
The Second City landed outside of the top 10 when respondents from across the UK were asked if they had ever cheated on a partner.
Manchester was the city with the most people admitting to cheating on a partner where 1 in 4 (26.4%) said they had played away from home.
In the new survey from WeLoveBrum.co.uk, it was closely followed by Edinburgh with 26.3% and Bristol at 26%. Rounding out the top 5 were Liverpool (24.4%) and Nottingham (23.4%).
But Birmingham came in 12th on the list with 19.9%, ahead of the very loyal likes of Southampton (17.2%), Sheffield, (15%) and Belfast (13.5%) residents.

Meanwhile, survey results also showed the top items individuals were likely to share with their partner.
Towels proved to be the most popular, with 37% stating they share with their other half.
Hairbrush was the second-most common answer, with 22% percent, while clothes (16%) came in third and razors (12%) in fourth.
More people share their pants with a partner than they would a toothbrush, as underwear (6%) landed in fifth and toothbrush (5%) in sixth.

Only around 15% of people use their partner’s toothbrush at all, with 64.3% stating they never share.
However, 5.2% admitted to using it 4-6 days a week, while only 3.3% use it every day.
