Birdies

Birdies is a tropical paradise filled with music, creative cocktails, and tasty street food. The outdoor paradise is in the heart of Digbeth just waiting for you to come discover their unique space. The bar has a great vibe making it the perfect spot to gather friends and have a fun night out together.

The beach themed bar is filled with greenery, bright colours, and vibrant flowers. The outdoor space is a glorious spot to soak up the sun while enjoying their amazing selection of food and drinks. Their wide selections of drinks are all tiki and tropical inspired to align with their botanical theme. Some of their finest cocktails include the Banana Punch which is packed with fruity flavours including banana, apple, pineapple, and lime and their Flamingo Punch a fun drink containing passionfruit and lemonade.

With an array of delicious street food snacks, the cocktails are not the only thing you’ll be craving on your visit. From loaded fries, burgers, and lots of little snacks you are going to love the comfort food they have to offer. The menu has multiple veggie and plant based options available so everyone can enjoy the great taste of their street food menu. Some of their delicious foods include Salt & Pepper Halloumi Burger, Cheese and Bacon Burger Fries, and their Chicken Wings great for a small bite. All their food and drinks can be ordered up at the bar or on their app where you can also find their whole menu.

The bar is open to walk ins and they are often open until late from Wednesday until Sunday great for evening drinks and late dinners.

Baked In Brick

Known for their spectacular pizzas and award winning street food Baked In Brick is the go to place to eat in Digbeth. Opened in 2019 the restaurant has worked hard to become what it is today. Originally born for the love of food Baked In Brick started out the back of a classic mini. With a pizza oven in the back and a BBQ in the front it’s safe to say this restaurant definitely started off small. Now with multiple locations the restaurant has become a great success much loved by the public.  

Located in the Custard Factory just a short walk from city centre Baked In Brick is a great spot for lunch and dinner. From pizzas, dirty loaded fries, and toasties there’s lots of options to delve into including vegetarian and vegan options along with details on allergens. The restaurant also occasional offer Sunday Lunch pop ups alongside their main menu items.  

Some of their delicious menu items include the Capra Pizza which is topped with goats’ cheese, caramelised onion, and rocket, the Fancy Loaded Fires packed with parmesan, truffle oil, and pepper, and their Italian Toastie which is filled with salami, ham, and mozzarella. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, they also offer ice cream, cookie doughs, and tiramisu for after your yummy meal. Drinks wise they have a whole selection of wines, ciders, draughts, and cocktails to sip on all night long. 

The restaurant does allow you to book via their website however walk-ins are also welcome. They are open Thursday to Saturday from 12 pm until 10:30 pm and from 12 pm to 6 pm on Sundays.

Luna Springs Bottomless Brunch

Filled with singing, booze, and dancing this is nothing like your typical place to dine out. Luna Springs’ bottomless brunches are like no other, with multiple themes and brunch options how you party is up to you. Luna Springs has a fun packed immersive brunch that gets people on their feet and having the time of their life. 

To begin the chaos, you get to pick from one of their many brunch themes available from Cosmic Disco Brunch, Pure Lunacy, and a Mama Mia XXL theme there’s a night for everyone. Additionaly they offer Brunchaoke where you can choose 90’s, 80’s, or pop themed music to sing-along to while you sip on bottomless cocktails. On arrival you will get to choose your brunch dish and whatever free flowing drinks you want while you sing the night away.  

Brunch prices vary from £29 to £45 depending on the theme you have chosen. There are many dates and times to choose from simply visit the Luna Springs website to pick one that suits you. Every brunch will last around 90 minutes which is typical for most bottomless brunches anywhere.

The Old Crown

Known for being the oldest secular building in Birmingham, The Old Crown has stood tall since 1368. This stunning classic restaurant offers the best home comfort foods such as their Sunday Roasts and huge burgers. The pub thrives in the centre of Digbeth offering great food, good times, and the friendliest service. The old black and white timber framed building holds so many memories and still stands today to make lots more.  

Their wide menu offers lots of typical pub grub from pies, burgers, and lots of grill options. Just a couple of their dishes include Steak and Ale Pie, Fish & Chips, and their DFC (Digbeth Fried Chicken) Burger which contains pickled onions, lettuce, mayo, and fried chicken accompanied with slaw and fries. They also have some vegetarian and vegan options such as their Beyond Meat Burger and the Halloumi Kebab which comes with a flatbread, fires, and so many veggies.  

With a lovely beer garden this pub is also great for a casual drink with friends and family or to dine al fresco in the summer sun. The Old Crown also hold lots of small and exciting events all year round such as their upcoming Street Food Fest on the 17th June. Their new series of Street Food Fest is family friendly and will feature lots of different food vendors such as Grounded Kitchen and Spuds Bros and not to mention the event has completely free entry. some of their other events include themed quizzes and live music. BA HA at The Rainbow

BA HA at The Rainbow is an entirely vegan cuisine serving you delicious humane food. BA HA was curated by Frankie and Becky to try and optimise what veganism has to offer and make new creations that taste great yet contain no meat! Born in 2018 for their love for cooking and food the restaurant aims to provide you with healthy, vegan, and mouthwatering dishes you will love.  

They offer a range of mains, small plates, and desserts all completely made without the use of animals or their produce. Some of their great meals include their Kentucky Burger which is served with garlic mayo, fresh leaves, and a side of fries and their Bulgogi Tacos which contains jackfruit, beansprouts, and soy. They also offer a classic Sunday roast every Sunday alongside their usual menu which comes with all your usual roast trimmings.  

BAHA also have some special days of the week such as their Wing Wednesday where you can get 20 wings, fries, and dips all for an exceptional price. Additionally, they have Bottomless Brunches every Saturday with offers you a main meal and 2 hours of unlimited cocktails all for £29.95  

This vegan cuisine has won multiple awards for their outstanding achievements such as Vegan Restaurant of the year and Best in Vegan cuisine. Furthermore, they have excelled in other areas such as having a positive impact on the environment and animal welfare as vegan diets mean no animals are hurt, these diets have a low carbon footprint, and is rich in nutrients.

The Ruin

Great for a couple of drinks and a spot of dinner, The Ruin is a fab spot to get friends and family together. Open from Tuesday to Sunday the pub doesn’t just serve up tasty food they also have special nights such as their Sunday Jazz and poker evenings. This spot is known for having a friendly and warm atmosphere welcoming everyone who passes through their doors.  

Some of their delicious homemade food includes their burgers, loaded fries, and nachos, they also have beautiful Sunday Roasts. Additionally, The Ruin have lots of veggie and vegan options such as their Beanie Burger and Vegan Wellington on the Sunday Roasts.
