We had the wonderful opportunity to visit Orelle last weekend to try their new festive cocktail. Their new Merry Bauble cocktail is served with a macaron and tasted like Christmas in a glass. While sipping on your cocktail you get to take in the breathtaking views of Birmingham and overlook all the Christmas lights from the 24th floor.
The cocktail was launched on Wednesday 15th November in honour of Colmore Row’s Christmas lights switch on. This drink was created by Orelle’s own mixologist Tiago Bastos who has combined a series of flavours to get you in a festive mood. The Merry Bauble contains Tanqueray gin, Crème de Cassis, Lillet Blanc, and is topped off with the ultimate Christmas spice Cinnamon. Alongside this drink you will also receive a Christmas macaron which not only looks good but tastes delicious.
The bar is beautifully decorated for Christmas with twinkling lights in every corner and a spectacular Christmas tree perfect to take a couple of photos with. With the darker nights the views over the city are gorgeous and it is the perfect spot to look at all the festive lights from above while sipping on this magical cocktail.
