Boston Tea Party is a British family-owned café group with over 20 locations in the UK. Every café has its own unique and cosy feel with no two locations being identical. Their extensive menu has vegan, vegetarian, and some gluten free options to accommodate all.

The cafés most loved items include their American Pancakes, the Boss Breakfast, and a great selection of muffins. To quench your thirst, Boston offer some exquisite smoothies such as their Peach Melba and Mango Lassi alongside your classic tea and coffee.

Medicine Bakery is voted one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. Their unique menu offers many options like croissants, cakes, and pastries all ethically sourced. Alongside this they are known for their fantastic brunches from full breakfasts (referred to as The Medicine) to grilled sourdoughs.

To wash it down they have lots of different teas and coffees along with smoothies and delicious hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. To accommodate all, the bakery provides gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, and plant-based alternatives.

If you want to avoid waiting around or disappointment, booking is available, meaning you will not miss out on the tasty food. Weather it’s a solo trip or with a group of friend’s staff will go out of their way to give you a unique and excellent experience where meaningful connections can be made.

To help create a communal space there’s long tables with benches which makes mingling and conversing with new people easier.

There’s only 4 bakeries’ open in the UK which are in Wolverhampton and Birmingham. The New Street branch is open from 8:30 am to 5 pm every day. Medicine aims to create a social space full of new possibilities and diversity where communities can be bought together.

They’re currently showcasing Portraits of Black Britain by Herbert Walters, which portrays the visual moments and stories of lockdown. The restoration has given the space a simplistic feel with lots of natural lighting and greenery. Café Rouge

If you’re looking to break free from the city Café Rouge can provide you with a bliss getaway. This is a true contemporary French restaurant that offers a modern Parisian experience. Known for their gorgeous locally sourced products and brunch menu Bill’s Restaurant is a wonderful place to start the day. Located in the heart of Birmingham, The Bullring, Bill’s is a great spot to grab breakfast.

From starters, brunch, desserts, and cakes the menus have endless options for you to choose from. If you’re vegan, gluten-free or vegetarian, you will not be disappointed with what they have to offer. Breakfast is served until 11:30 am every day.

For the veggies there’s a wonderful plant plate this is a full fry up including bacon, sausages, eggs, and beans all meat free. If you would rather have something sweet in the mornings the restaurant also provides Pancakes with fruit or cinnamon porridge guaranteed to cure your craving.

If that isn’t enough Bill’s have bought back their bottomless pancakes. From 3-5 pm everyday you can get unlimited pancakes and for a small extra cost grab limitless hot drink or prosecco. For kids they offer build your own pancakes. Using fruit, chocolate, and lots of sprinkles they can get their creative juices flowing to build a masterpiece.

Bookings may be essential on weekends as Bill’s can be lively so, book to avoid leaving on an empty stomach. Staff pleasantly greet you at the entrance, give you menus, and seat you. The restaurants interior has a quirky and stylish feel that’s certainly unique and will inspire conversation at your table.

The space has lots of natural light, plants, and colourful paintings making it unlike any of your usual breakfast locations. If you’re wondering about your fury friend, they are more than welcome! And to further accommodate your pooch they will soon be introducing a dog menu with lots of pet friendly treats. This will be available from late March so, don’t forget to bring your dog along on your next breakfast trip.
