Bill’s is a contemporary European restaurant chain known for their breakfasts, lunch, and dinner menus. Founded during 2001 in East Sussex there are now over 70 branches across the UK serving thousands of customers daily.
Being a bank holiday Monday on our visit we expected the restaurant to be very busy, which it was! But this did not affect the quality of their service.
We were greeted, seated, and given our menus immediately. With a huge menu there was so much to choose from including their famous Brunch options and Bill’s Favourites. Our orders were taken quickly, and staff were more than willing to help with allergies and food preferences when it came to our food options. Our waitress was professional, friendly, and delivered us amazing service throughout by checking up on us and ensuring we were enjoying our visit.
Bill’s interior is like no other. Every corner of the room is filled with something unique yet beautiful. With green velvet, floral designs, antiques, and rustic touches the restaurant has a great quirky feel. Beautiful pictures, statues, and greenery fill the space creating an uplifting environment perfect for work, casual meetings, or a catch-up dinner. The interior certainly creates a topic for conversation with sculptures of sheep, rabbits, and even a frog, what’s not to love about that!
The Bullring location also has a large outdoor seating area looking over Birmingham wonderful to sit out on in the summer months. Not to mention just outside the restaurant’s doors is hundreds of shops making Bill’s a great spot to stop and refuel after those busy shopping days.
With a drinks menu just as extensive as the food one you’ll be spoilt for choice. To mention a few, Bill’s have smoothies, cocktails, wines, and hot drinks plus lots more. We went for their Tropical Smoothie and Mocha, the perfect choice for brunch. The drinks came beautifully prepared, and our Mocha even had a Flake. The smoothie was made using pineapple, cantaloupe, mango, and passion fruit which gave it a refreshing and luscious taste, we loved it!
We both ordered from Bill’s Brunch menu which is served daily until 5 pm. We had the Buttermilk Fruit Pancakes and Bill’s Big Brunch. While ordering our allergies and dietary requirements were met and exceeded. We were allowed to swap and adapt items on the Big Brunch to help meet our needs and create our ideal brunch.
When the food arrived, we were astounded by the stunning presentation and amount of food we had. The pancakes were huge! We had 5 thick American style pancakes topped with syrup and fresh fruit including bananas, strawberries, and blueberries. With a light and fluffy centre covered with perfectly ripe fruit, these pancakes looked and tasted absolutely delicious. Bill’s Big Brunch came with beans, eggs, sausages, bacon, rosemary potatoes, tomatoes, and sourdough. This brunch was certainly big and contained some of the classic full English breakfast foods. It was the perfect classical breakfast with a contemporary Bill’s twist.
To conclude Bill’s is a wonderful restaurant filled with good vibes and good food. What will you be eating there?
