If you’ve got a passion for wine tasting and love discovering different flavours, then this bar is for you. Using their unique self-pour machines, you simply tap your card, pick a wine, and pour away. Whether it’s a night out or just grabbing a casual drink Vagabond is the place to be.
How To Pick A Wine
If you’re unsure on what wine to go for each bottle has a brief description that explains what the wine tastes like, where it’s from, and what food dish they would best pair with. If this wasn’t enough you can also pour yourself a taster glass to test the wine before you pour a full glass. When you’ve found a wine you enjoy the most you can pour 125 ml or 175 ml glass and sit back and relax.
Our Experience
Some of the lovely wines we went for was their Pierre Dupond Rose and the Chateau Megyer Princesse Piroska which we would definitely recommend you try on your visit. These wines were crisp, fruity, and refreshing and went down a treat so much so we had to go back for a second glass. The self pour system was easy to get the hang of and saved the hassle and time of waiting in long lines to be served.
There is also a small selection of wines that are made by Vagabond themselves. These award winning wines come from vineyards in the UK and are harvested by hand to produce a delicious distinctive taste. They have been awarded the awarded the Sustainable Wines of Great Britain Trademark and are working hard to make the best wine in the whole of the UK.
If You’re Not Feeling Like Wine
If you’re not feeling a glass of wine, you can always head over to their self pour craft beer section. There’s a lovely selection to choose from whether you’re into lager, beer, or ales you’ll find something delicious to sip on.
To accompany the wine Vagabond also serves up a delicious selection of food to snack on. There are small plates, sharing platters, and some desserts to pick from with some good veggie and vegan options too. Some of these dishes include cheese boards, salads, and cheesecakes which would go perfectly with one of their many wines.
If you’re wanting more from your evening, you could join one of Vagabonds masterclasses. Their cheese and wine event will pair some of the most delicious cheeses with their well known wines to create the most perfect combination. The session will last 80 minutes, and you will get to try 5 different wine and cheese pairings all for £35. This lovely evening will equip you with knowledge that you can take away and use for yourself at home to make your very own perfect pairings.
