Christmas Gift Ideas for Food Lovers

0

As the gift giving season (aka Christmas) approaches, you may find yourself searching high and low for the perfect present inspiration. Think about your giftee’s hobbies and passions… are they a food lover or a cooking expert? If you said yes, read on for some gift ideas for those with a passion for all things culinary. From barbecue bosses to kitchen gadget enthusiasts, here’s some ideas that are sure to help.

Chef’s Apron

For passionate home cooks, how about a chef’s apron to keep them in the zone? You can find aprons in all sorts of designs to match your gift receiver’s personality. Maybe something from a comic book or a film such as DC, Marvel, Star Wars or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Or something a little more adult humour. You can even get a customised design to really personalise the gift. No matter how jokey you want to take things, it’ll still have a practical use as well!

Kitchen Towels

If you don’t think an apron will get much use, you can always opt for kitchen towels as they’re always handy! Again, you can get designs that match their personality, pop culture interests, or something more personalised and unique.

BBQ Accessories

Know someone that proudly owns a barbecue? Gifting BBQ accessories will always be appreciated, whether it’s a new set of stainless steel tools like spatulas, tongs or grill brushes, or something practical like bbq covers. You may even be able to get the tools engraved for an extra special touch.

You may also be able to find an outdoor fire heater, such as a fire pit, for a reasonable price. Both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

BBQ Condiments

As well as accessories, how about helping your food loving friends and family add extra flavour by buying them sauces, rubs, or marinades. Think about the flavours they already like and find sauces that match that palette, some people aren’t as adventurous as others, especially when it comes to things like spice levels. Alternatively, look for a range of different flavours so they have a good choice of sweet, smoky, spicy and savoury.

Things like high quality olive oils and vinegars will also be appreciated as they are an essential ingredient in many meals. You can buy many different flavoured olive oils, such as chilli infused variations – why not buy a set?

How About an Air Fryer?

Know someone that still doesn’t own an air fryer? You may be able to get one for a pretty reasonable price, depending on the size and how many additional features you want it to have.

Air fryers have completely taken the home cooking world by storm, allowing people to cook healthier and easier, using less oil, less time, and even less energy! Basic models have buttons and knobs, while more expensive models have digital screens, but they both work the same and are simple to use.

You can get additional cooking features such as a grill, steamer, baking, roasting and more.

Grills and Other Appliances

Appliances such as George Foreman grills can be bought for relatively cheap, usually around £40 for basic models, and you can spend a little extra for more features such as removable plates that make it easier to wash. It all depends on your budget and what you think the person you are buying the gift for would be comfortable with.

Think about what foods they like. Other appliances you can get for a good price include a toastie maker, panini press, waffle maker, or an egg poacher. Know a movie fan? Why not get them a popcorn making machine?

Recipe Books

Is there a certain way of cooking that your gift receiver particularly loves? Then why not get them a recipe book that specialises in meals that you can grill or do in the air fryer?

Or perhaps there’s a certain diet that they follow? In that case, look for a book that’ll give them some inspiration, whether that’s a vegan recipe book or a keto cookbook.

Wine and Cheese

Keep it simple with the classic gift of a wine and cheese board set, perfect for a classy night in. A good selection of different cheeses guarantees there’ll be something they like.

Gift Vouchers

Another classic Christmas gift, how about vouchers for a certain restaurant, or an online food subscription service? You could even get them a cooking class experience – as long as you don’t think they’d be offended by the suggestion!
