Fortunately for those visiting the city centre, there is a growing selection of independent coffee shops that you can try out. All of which have unique perks for visitors, and offer an excellent selection of coffee, tea, and snacks. Some of our personal favourite independent coffee shops in Birmingham city centre can be found below.

Damascena

Located near the Birmingham Cathedral, you will be able to find Damascena. Visitors can expect to have one of the most unique experiences at this location, which is located near the Old Joint Stock pub. The coffee shop has immediately become one of the most popular places to have a coffee in the city.

It does an excellent job of welcoming all customers, with a moderately priced menu, covering wraps, sandwiches, salads, soups, and other popular dishes. Meanwhile, wi-fi is also available, so you can work from the shop if needs be.
