Hungry? Well, I hope so, because it’s time to put on a bib and get stuck in. With the cold of winter fast approaching, and the price of food skyrocketing, there is no better time to visit a good old all-you-can-eat buffet and really get your moneys worth of hot, tasty food. Whether you want a classic, global buffet, or a specialised experience, we have you covered with this list of the yummiest all-you-can-eat spots in Birmingham.
Deep Experience
When the skies are gloomy and the weather is chilly, what could be more tempting than a taste of the Caribbean? Sure you could book a trip to Jamaica, but why spend that much money when you could get your fill of the best the islands have to offer right here in Brum. The Deep Experience is located in the city centre, just opposite the O2 Academy, but when you walk in you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the West Indies. The buffet is only available on the weekends, so make sure to get your timings right! On the menu are all the classics, including Roasted Carrot and Sweet Potato Ressoto, Boston Jerk Secret, and Deep Jamaican Pepper Steak.

Rodizio Rico
From the beaches of the Caribbean to the streets of Brazil now, with Rodizio Rico in the Cube. With its luxury location, you know you will be getting the highest quality dishes cooked by experienced passadors. I hope you’re not a veggie, because the focus of this buffet is meat. Specifically Brazilian Churrascaria, or charcoal grilled meat. Their selection has everything from leg of lamb and pork ribs to a variety of beef cuts and chicken parts, even hearts! You can have lunch and dinner all week long from £23.10 to £44.10, which might seem expensive until you remember just how much meat you’re getting, served directly from the charcoal grill. And don’t worry, there is a salad bar too, and even a vegetarian option for a reduced price.

Shogun
Didn’t feel like meat today but still wondering around the Cube in want of some all-you-can-eat regional food made by highly trained chefs? A strangely specific request, but we can oblige. Shogun is Japanese food made and presented like it should be – dinner and a show. Here you will see experienced chefs with over 5 years of training to master their skills cooking right before your eyes. But what your after is the conveyor sushi bar. Choose between nigiri, sashimi, and saki maki, with options for salmon, tuna, and California rolls too. At £14.95 for lunch and £16.95 for dinner, you will never find such high quality sushi for such a good price again.

Happy Lamb
Here’s a cuisine I bet you haven’t considered before: Mongolian. Well, after reading this, you will be tempted to try it out. Happy Lamb serves an all-you-can-eat feast of Mongolian hot pot all day, every day. By boiling the ingredients in a flavourful soup broth, you won’t need to reach for the sauces to add taste, because everything will come out rich and delicious. You have a choice of soup base, and can add meat, seafood, or tofu to your hot pot to create a personalised dish. This East-Asian feast will cost you only £20.99 for lunch or £27.99 for dinner, with children eating at a reduced price. Give it a try, it will not disappoint.

Zauq Buffet
Although buffets are delicious, they aren’t always the classiest of eating establishments. Well the days of pushing in lines and busy, loud dining halls are a thing of the past with Zauq. The sheer size of the place is impressive enough, but they also pride themselves on having a “refined buffet” style, essentially making a fine dining restaurant out of what is usually quite a rushed experience. They serve South Asian foods, including lamb chops and stir-fry noodles which are prepared at live cooking stations, as well as salads and even pizza! Don’t miss out on the desserts either, with an amazing chocolate fountain to dip your sweet treats into. It is only £18-20, with children eating half price and under-4s dining for free. After a fun trip to Star City, this is a great place to round out the day.

Shahi Masala
Shahi Masala is a really interesting buffet spot. The interior alone is beautiful and set up like a fine dining restaurant. They serve a variety of cuisines such as Indian, Italian, and Chinese, with live cooking stations for stir fry, dosa, shawarma, and grill. You can get samosas and spring rolls, lasagne and curry, and so much more that there is no space to list them. But what is really incredible, is that this restaurant is completely halal and alcohol free!
