Toy Collectors’ Fair


This event really is for all ages. Whether you’re looking for vintage toys or brand new releases you’ll find it all in one place at the toy fair. There will be 500 stalls filled with collectibles from the 60’s to the 1950’s. Toys like model cars, Star Wars, Scalextric, and Lego can all be found at the event. With bargain prices you’ll get everything you want and more.

Not only will you be able to buy your dream toys you’ll be able to meet other buyers and sellers. This gives you the chance to connect with new people and hear all the latest in the toy collector world. This is the biggest and greatest toy collector’s fair in the UK a dream for anyone wanting to build up their collection.

Tickets will be sold at the door adults admission will be £9.50 and children £2. If you want to get in early to get your hands on all the greatest finds, early access is available for £15. The event will be held at the NEC on the 16th April and another on the 1st October. Doors open at 10:30 am and close at 3 pm giving you plenty of time to find exactly what you want.

Insomnia Gaming Festival


Built to bring the gaming community together, Insomnia brings nearly 3000 gamers together to play 24/7 over the space of just one weekend. The event aims to celebrate people’s love for video games and the culture behind them. You’ll be able to meet other gamer’s in the community and maybe find a new gaming partner.

From tabletop games, new releases, and even merch, they’ll be a lot to experience during your visit. Additionally, there will be stages around the arena for panel talks, podcasts, and cosplay shows. With trivia shows, music performances, and a Just Dance off there’s something for everyone to get stuck into. From Minecraft to League of Legends there’s a game for all age ranges to enjoy.

They’ll also be a chance to meet some amazing guests. Stephanie Panisello, Doug Cockle, and Nicole Tompkins will be just some of the people attending. They’ll be a chance for selfies and autographs to be taken so you’ll never forget this great experience.

The event will be held in the NEC from the 7th to the 10th April. Tickets start at £27 for the day or £79 for the entire weekend.

Vintage Kilo Sale


The vintage kilo sale is a great way to spruce up your wardrobe. This is a good way to shop if you’re looking for a bargain or wanting to be more sustainable.

On entry guests will be given a bag they can fill up with all their vintage finds. At the end bags will be weighed with every kilo costing £20. People can mix and match what they find and will only be charged based on the weight. The event offers a variety of items from big brands to retro 60’s fashion. Stock will be replenished throughout the day so no matter what time you arrive the rails will always be full. The event will hold up to 9 tones of clothing specially handpicked for you to shop.

The admission price is £2 with under 12s being free. Alternatively, for you eager shoppers there’s an early bird access for £3 to help get your hands on all the top picks. Held in The Custard Factory the event starts at 10 am and finishes at 4 pm on the 16th April. With no minimum or maximum spend the possibilities are endless and I’m sure your wardrobe will thank you. This opportunity would be great to test out new styles and go outside your comfort zone with clothes.

Life Drawing Class


If you’re wanting to get creative a life drawing class may be a unique way to do this. Not only will you walk away with your creation, but you will also gain knowledge from industry professionals that you can take into future classes. This is a fun way to change up your evening and experiment with different medias to draw the life model.

The event is for artists at all levels. You will have guidance from Stephen Earl Rogers who makes amazing cotemporary portraits and has been featured at the National Portrait Gallery in London. Alongside him will be Lucy Fiona Morrison who is a painter specialising in capturing the land. She has been part of many private collections internationally and can give you professional advice while you draw. The process will start as a quick sketch and over time will develop into an observational drawing.

Held at The Custard Factory, the 1 hour 30 workshop will delve into your creative side and help you create a masterpiece. This will start at 6:30 pm and finish at 8 pm. For £15 all materials will be provided including pencils, charcoal, and pastels. They’ll be all the media you need to do your drawing, along with refreshments to keep you motivated.

Gin & Rum Festival


Looking to treat your taste buds? The Gin & Rum festival can definitely do this. With over 120 different gins and rums to taste you’ll be spoilt for choice. This is the UK’s largest drinks festival where you can have amazing drinks and learn about all your favourite drinks.

Tasters will be available around the venue along with information about the drinks. All the drinks are specially picked by professionals, so you’re guaranteed to find something you love. Some special drinks are exclusive to the festival so you’re not going to want to miss out. Not only can you try new drinks there will be live music and a DJ to keep you entertained all night. If Gin or Run isn’t your thing, then there’s a cocktail bar filled with lots of yummy concoctions.

Tickets are £11.12 and will include a free drink, snacks, a branded cup, reusable straw, and a guide on all the drinks available. The event will be at the Edgbaston Stadium on the 21st and 22nd April from 6:30 pm until 10:30pm.
