Family road trip near Birmingham

There are many great tourist locations near Birmingham and if a road trip outside the city followed by a country break is what you’d like then here are a couple of suggestions.

Country break in North Wales:

Situated near the coast, North Wales is a great country escape destination with many beautiful sights to be seen and hikes to be had. You could go camping at many different sites or rent a lodge while you’re there to be as close to nature as possible. If you find that you really enjoy the experience you could even look for lodges for sale and go there more frequently at your own leisure.

Journey into the Cotswolds

This picturesque region is known for its idyllic countryside, charming villages, and rolling hills. Enjoy quiet leisurely walks, visit quaint tea rooms, and re-discover a sense of traditional English charm. There are plenty of activities for you to experience such as the Cotswolds wildlife park & gardens or enjoy a relaxed spa break in one of Cotswold’s dedicated hotels.

Visiting Stratford-upon-Avon

This historic town is the birthplace of William Shakespeare and offers charming Tudor architecture, beautiful gardens, and the renowned Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The town also has Europe’s largest butterfly farm which is not common knowledge. If you’d like to experience something intellectually stimulating and learn more about your local history, this is a great place to do just that. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants you can indulge in and give yourself a break from cooking at home.
