When you’re in charge of the events for your local sporting club, you may want to try and make yours that much better than your competitors. When planning your next evening, or even a fundraising event, you might want to think of the entertainment options you could include. While you may want the time to focus mainly on your sport of choice, having other options could help to generate more people, even those who may not have previously been interested in what you do.

Fireworks

One idea that could make people want to attend can be forms of evening entertainment. Within these, some people may like the idea of getting to see and hear a great firework display. Alongside rockets, you might also want to consider the use of mine fireworks. When doing so, you may want to think about the space you plan on using. Some venues may require prior permission before you can set off fireworks. It can also be a good idea to have people trained in first aid close by. If you don’t feel confident in setting up the display yourself, it is also possible to have a company deal with this on your behalf.

Sporting games

Considering the different games or sessions you could have at your event can be important. When holding a fundraiser, you may want to think of things that the general public can take part in, as well as your members or team. This can allow attendees to feel like they are more included in your efforts, and even keep them entertained. Within this, you could also offer trials of what you do, which could be a great way to canvass for new members. One key point to note can be that, when getting people to partake in physical activity, there should also be a means for them to hydrate themselves. Having food and drink vendors present, as well as access to facilities and tap water, can make it a more pleasant experience.

Hire a personality

If you have the budget to do so, one of the biggest things you might want to do could be to have a special guest attend the event. This could be someone from the local community, or even a sporting personality likely to be known by attendees. You may want to see if they could give a motivational speech to those present, or show off some of their skills in real life. At times, this could also provide you with future promotional material as well.

Hosting a sporting event can involve a lot of work. Alongside the attractions and entertainment, you may also need to put a lot of thought into the health and safety aspects of the day. Your budget may dictate how much you have present. However, as long as you remain committed, it is possible to create a day that people will relish coming to, and do some further good for your club or organisation.
