Attention Swifties! Swiftogeddon is Returning to Birmingham

In October 2022, Taylor Swift released her newest album, Midnights, after two months of anticipation and with seven surprise bonus tracks to boot. As one of the biggest music stars in the world, it was no surprise that the release was instantly a huge success, topping the charts for two weeks in a row. Her US Eras tour was announced quickly after, but with no UK dates released yet, we need something to tide us over. Well, fear not, because Swiftogeddon is here and we are Ready For It!

If you just can’t wait for what is likely to be a mid to late 2023 tour, you’re in luck. Fill that Blank Space in your diary on Friday 2nd December 2022, Christmas is coming early for the fans! Swiftogeddon is an event unlike any other. Run by the fans, for the fans, it is a club night that focuses entirely on the catalogue of Taylor Swift. No other musicians, no breaks, just pure Taylor. It is the ultimate night out for the biggest fans who know her lyrics All Too Well. You won’t only hear her biggest hits, but also those bonus tracks that only appear on the CDs, extended mixes and covers, and, of course, Christmas songs to fit the season. This will be a night beyond your Wildest Dreams.

The event will be held at The Asylum on Hampton Street in the city centre. This venue is mostly known for its live rock and metal events, as well as the weekly UPRAWR alternative club night. Its location is perfect, being enough close to the centre to have transport links everywhere, but not so close as to be surrounded by people and other loud events. Inside, there are two bars to take advantage of, and a large outdoors area, so you can grab a drink or a breather to get you through all your dance moves, since the music will be playing from 10.30pm until 3am! The main room is a great size to bring all your mates, but not quite big enough to fit all the Swifties in Birmingham, so grab your tickets now while they’re still available!

If you’re worried that the fan-made nature of the event will mean it’s a smaller one then Shake It Off. Because this night has been running for years in the UK and beyond, and it isn’t slowing down. Since the first event taking place in London in August 2019, it has been a hit at every city it has visited. The last time Swiftogeddon was in Birmingham was in July, and they haven’t hosted an event at The Asylum since March, so if you missed out last time, you’ve got the chance to make up for it now. So, get out that Red lipstick and hit the town in Style because It’s Time To Go to the ultimate Taylor Swift club night.

(Don’t worry, the puns are over, you’re Out Of The Woods now.)
