Best Bars in the Jewellery Quarter

0

There are few better nights out in Birmingham than a visit to the Jewellery Quarter over the weekend. With so many bars in close proximity, it makes for an entertaining night with friends, as you could hit a number of the choices available. But, which bars should be on your list of hotspots should you be heading to the Jewellery Quarter over the weekend?

Actress & Bishop

The Actress & Bishop is an excellent place for a drink after work, or on the weekend. There is a lot of space for all visitors, with two floors and four screens located here. It is also a good pub for those looking to sit outside, with a sheltered area with heaters perfect for the winter months. It is also the place to sing the weekend away, with an open mic every Wednesday.

There is a wide selection of beers and ciders on draft, while cask ales are also readily available. Actress & Bishop also shows all the biggest sporting events, which makes it a great spot to watch the action throughout the season, whether it be football, cricket, or Formula 1.

The Red Lion

Another of our favourite pubs in the Jewellery Quarter is The Red Lion. It is open from noon every day, and offers cosy indoor seating areas for the colder months, as well as a lovely beer garden to catch the sunshine in the summer. It is also a perfect stop for those looking for a bite to eat, as the pub has made a name for itself for being one of the most affordable places for food in the area.

The Sunday lunch is a preferred choice, which is served by helpful staff. The Red Lion is a great pub for those looking for some unique beers, with a range of cask selections available. Wine, draught lagers and Prosecco are also readily available.

The Pig & Tail

One of the swankiest bars in the Jewellery Quarter can be found at The Pig & Tail. At present, customers here will be able to enjoy the food from Lisa Panns Kitchen. The pub run loads of weekly promotions including Burger & Beer and Fizz Fridays. The garden is one of the features we enjoy the most, as it is an area that you can sit in long after the sun has gone down taking in all the urban beauty.

The bar is open from midday until 10 pm Tuesday to Thursday and until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. There is an excellent selection of draught beers available here, including the WYE Valley, Orchard Reveller, and Camden Town Brewery. Peroni is one of the most popular lagers, while there is also a selection of white, red, and rose wines. Cocktails can also be enjoyed here, with options including the Rumba Punch and Miss Piggy.

The Clifden

No visit to the Jewellery Quarter is complete without a visit to The Clifden. The bar is one of the most popular in the area, and is a hub of lively activity over the weekends. The pub is home to lots of traditional and home comfort foods such as Sausage & Mash, Chicken Burgers, and Haddock and Chips. However, it’s the nightlife and friendly locals that are the main reason to pay a visit to the Clifden.

Friendly staff are on hand to ensure that you can get the drink that fits what you’re looking for, while there are more lagers available here than you can shake a stick at. Some of our personal favourites include Vedett and Moretti. Cocktails and wine are also readily available at the Clifden throughout the day.

Neon signs have now become a natural part of the bar and can go a long way in attracting customers to the bar to relax and unwind. Generally, neon lights are already designed for people to choose from, but the neon signs on BPS.com can be customized. This means that the custom neon sign will be full of uniqueness, which makes the neon sign stand out among its kind.

It can be said that when a custom neon sign is installed, it will become a sign unique to that particular bar. If you want to have a drink at home, custom neon signs on BPS.com are also a very good choice. After all, neon signs are artifacts that create a beautiful atmosphere.
